News & Updates

5 March 2007 - Update
The planets have aligned! Or so it seems, I've finally been able to add in some information to the site. There are now pages available on Merneptah's Mortuary Temple, the cities of Nekhen & Nekheb, the royal palace at Mennefer and I've added more names to the appropriate lists. Oh and I've updated the book list to add in some new tomes purchased and added in more sources information. I'm still compiling the list of sources for some of the material so they will be forthcoming a little later and be forewarned, the navigation will be changing soon. Don't know about you, but that navigation is getting on my last nerve so it's time to rehaul. Another addition is the link for the discussion board - I debated as to whether to add this now or later due to the fact that the site that carries the board (yes, another one of mine) is going to be undergoing an extensive rehaul within the next month and because of that, the registration is currently closed on the existing board. And apologies for anyone that has tried to reach me via the old email address, I changed web hosting services a few months back which meant realigning the emails and I completely forgot to update the site with the new email. Sorry! That's about it for this time, hope you enjoy!

15 October 2005 - Update
I've finally made time to update the look of the site, as some might have noticed on some pages. Needless to say, it's probably going to take a few days to switch all the pages over to the new format, but I hope it will be a little easier on the eye and easier to navigate. Not much has been added content-wise unfortunately, however, I have slightly re-written a few pages to add in a little more info in some cases. I have added a few more links to the links page for those interested, and a few more books to the book shelf. I'll apologize in advance for any broken or straying links you'll find at the site while the formatting is being changed, but rest assured those will disappear once everything is properly online.

20 March 2005 - Update

Managed to wiggle in and update a few things around thinis.com. For anyone checking the page on Egyptian Names, over the past few days I've added quite a bit to it and in general, its been added to extensively since it first appeared (that's an easy page to add to..LOL). I'm very pleased to announce that the pages containing the Ancient Egyptian Titles are now available! You can find those under the Digressions heading on the menu. I would like to take a second to apologize for the slow construction on this site, I've been down with mono since August and it's a rather nasty bug to try to get rid of (I found out the hard way, much to my dismay!). But as I start to feel better, I'll be adding tidbits here and there so do check in occasionally!

26 August 2004 - Udpate

Made a few updates to the site, only meager offerings, I'm afraid - but it is progress! The few items that have been added are as follows. Information on Queen Ha was added to the Queens of the 0 Dynasty (under the Nobility section of the menu), information on the goddess Hatmehit was added to the A Thru M section of the Deities, information on the god Nekheny was added to the N Thru Z section of the Deities and a page for Ancient Egyptian Names has been added (down at the bottom of the menu in the Digressions section). Hope everyone will enjoy these new additions and hopefully this progress will continue!

11-18 January 2004 - Update

Spent a week updating the look of thinis.com and getting sections better organized. Working diligently towards getting these sections live and their information available. Can't and won't make any promises though. *grin* Please feel free to check back as often as you like and if you would like to contact me, you can reach me at thinis@thinis.com or I can be found over at the Egypt board at Antiquated Ideas.
